I know its been awhile since my last post ... but with not much happening that I made for calls and being sick the last week, I havnt gotten anything worth posting lately ...

But I did hit up a one car roll over on Rt 2 in Ledyard on May 4th, 3 passengers (all Chinese speaking) were ok and units cleared after the car was righted and put on the wrecker.

With a heavy heart ...

It is is enormous sadness that I post the passing of Gales Ferry Deputy Chief William Carmack. Bill was a 17 year member of the Gales Ferry Fire Dept. Bill was a friend and a brother to all Ledyard Emergency services agencies and fire departments through the region and he will be deeply missed. Funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as I receive them.

RIP in peace Bill, you will be missed ....

Pinball Machine

On Wednesday Feb 7 2007 Ledyard and MPFD were dispatched to Rt 2 for a vehicle leaking fluids. It turns out the vehicle had struck and damaged at least 9 other vehicles in the Foxwoods Garage. He proceeded to drive out onto RT 2 were the MPPD and CSP pulled over and arrested the driver for DUI. I was able to grab a few pictures of what was left of his car, I was unable to get over the garage to view the carnage.

Accidental Four Wheeling

On Saturday 01.14.07 a little before noon, Ledyard Fire Company was dispatched to a one car moter vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Units arrived on scene to find a car down a embankment off Rt 214 in the area of Goulart Rd (A common accident area). There no injuries and the driver and step-son were out of the vehicle upon LFD arrival. LFD units held the scene until the wrecker removed the vehicle.

Here are some pictures from the car into the brook (the booms seen in the pictures were staged in case we needed them, they werent used in the incident) ...
