Waterbury LODD



It is deep regrets to pass along the information of the passing of Waterbury Fire Dept Captain John Keane. Capt Keane was injured on May 19 while responding with his engine to reported kitchen fire when it collided with another responding rig, a Waterbury Ladder. Capt Keane was a 12 year member of the department and he leaves behind a wife and two children.

Please keep the members of the Waterbury Fire Dept in your prayers as one other firefighter is still in critical condition from the accident and the mourn they passing of a brother.

Rt 214 Two Car

On Wednesday, May 9, 2005 Ledyard Fire and Ledyard Ambulance were dispatched along with a American Medic to a reported two car mva on Rt 214 in the area of Goulart Rd with one reported serious injury. First arriving units found a 2 car two wreck with a BMW that had slammed in the back seat area of a taxi. The passenger in the taxi (a teenage female) was taken ALS with question of internal injuries (she was selt belted on the passenger side of the taxi, right where the BMW hit it), the drivers of the vehicles were taken in for check ups with various aches and pains.

Opps ...

I know its been awhile since my last post ... but with not much happening that I made for calls and being sick the last week, I havnt gotten anything worth posting lately ...

But I did hit up a one car roll over on Rt 2 in Ledyard on May 4th, 3 passengers (all Chinese speaking) were ok and units cleared after the car was righted and put on the wrecker.
